AIESEC Annual Stakeholders’ Dinner Concludes With Incredible Insights on Smart Business


Mumbai, 05 June 2017AIESEC Mumbai’s Annual Stakeholders’ Dinner held at Shaman Wheels Mercedes Showroom concluded amidst enthusiastic convergence of over 120 entrepreneurs, delegates and leaders to collaborate with AIESEC Mumbai’s vision in ‘Making Mumbai Smart Business City 2020’.
The event started off with anecdotes about AIESEC Mumbai’s inception as shared by the Founder, Sudeep Malhotra. It was followed by a lively interaction with Craig Pereira, President of AIESEC Mumbai, as he shared the goals set by his team for the coming year. The address by Consulate General India-Canada, Jordan Reeves shed light on path-breaking collaborations between India and Canada in IT, infrastructure, nuclear, agricultural and other sectors and the role of youth organisations such as AIESEC in further catalysing collaborative, dynamic and agile innovations.
The Youth Leadership Awards were conferred upon well-deserving, widely acclaimed individuals such as Afroz Shah, Micky Mehta, Ananya Birla, to name a few. The panel discussion, moderated and hosted by Akshaara Lalwani, Founder and CEO of Communicate India was the highlight of the event, wherein leaders from AIESEC, Teach for
India, and others, shared insights about the need for rethinking strategies crucial for ‘Making Mumbai Smart Business City’. Insights revolved around key issues such as quality education, environmental concerns, social entrepreneurship, so on and so forth.
“The vision of AIESEC Mumbai is to aid development of an India that welcomes Smart Business with dynamic and fresher perspectives. Each young leader took home unique perspectives to solving daunting problems of Mumbai in particular and India as a whole. I am confident that today’s event will help in shaping smart India’s smart strategies towards holistic growth”, said Craig Pereira, President of AIESEC Mumbai. 
The evening ended with a closing note by AIESEC Mumbai’s student community, which was followed by an evening of full-throttle networking with esteemed delegates and leaders across various walks of life.
